motivation monday :: back in the swing

Happy Monday!

Well today is the day that I have been dreading for eighteen days -- the return to school. I have had a wonderful Christmas break filled with old friends, family and quality me time. Could there be a better way to prepare for midterms and the second semester of school? I think not

But now comes the time where it is time to buckle down, take my midterms and get on with life. Freshman year has definitely presented its challenges: grades, social and tough mental challenges. I have a new mantra for this semester of school and of 2014 -- slow down.

Slowing my monkey brain down will allow me to really focus on what I need to do AND I will also enjoy every second of doing things that I love. Instead of wishing I could get the day done and over with as soon as I wake up, I am going to take a deep breath and live every moment joyously. Also, I will take time to stop and smell the roses and not move through life too quickly. In other words taking my tea in the morning and going through each minute in the morning one at a time. Getting all of this negativity out of my life is really making me a super duper happy person. And to make me even more centered and happy my mantra will keep the positive vibes flowing.

What is keeping you motivated? Leave me a comment.

  1. I know what you mean; some times I wish I could pause my thoughts so I could give myself a moment to breath!
